Nancy Jacobs Miller

Nancy Jacobs Miller has a background in business, legal and creative affairs, covering all aspects of production, development, international co-productions, financing, distribution, and marketing.

Prior to founding Film Garden, she was Vice-President of Development and Business Affairs for GRB Entertainment. Previously, she served as the Director of Business Affairs for Live Entertainment, as an attorney for Paramount Pictures in the Domestic Television Division, as the Executive Vice-President of Italtoons Corporation, and as a litigator with the law firm of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky and Walker, specializing in contractual disputes for corporate clients.

Ms. Miller graduated cum laude from the University of California at San Diego with a degree in Communications, and received her law degree with highest honors from the University of San Diego where she attended on full scholarship and received four American Jurisprudence awards. While in law school she published an article in the San Diego Law Review, which examined the effects of television violence on children.

Ms. Miller attended the Masters of Professional Writing program at the University of Southern California where she received an endowment for achievement in creative writing and poetry and served as the fiction editor of The Southern California Anthology. Ms. Miller has also served as a consultant to Seattle Public Television, acting as the Chief Production and Marketing Executive for the PBS station known for producing such acclaimed children’s programs as Bill Nye The Science Guy.

Ms. Miller serves as Executive Producer of all Film Garden programs.
